We are delighted to have provided grant funding to support Chippenham Carnival, which takes place this Saturday 4th July in Chippenham town centre and Island Park.
The carnival marks the revival of a much-loved community tradition and will bring together local performers, community groups, businesses and residents for a day of celebration, entertainment and family fun.
Organised by a dedicated committee of volunteers, the carnival has been brought back thanks to months of planning, fundraising and community support. Many local groups, performers and businesses are taking part, helping to showcase the very best of Chippenham.
Throughout the afternoon, Island Park will host a programme of performances, music, food and activities, while the carnival procession will make its way through the town centre before celebrations continue back in the park.
The event has been designed to encourage the whole community to get involved, whether by taking part in the parade, performing in Island Park, running a stall or simply coming along to enjoy the festivities.
Chippenham Borough Lands Charity has provided grant funding of £3,000 to support the carnival. The funding has helped pay for additional elements such as event branding, decorations, volunteer t-shirts and promotional materials, helping organisers create a welcoming and memorable experience for everyone attending.
The charity is proud to support initiatives that bring people together, celebrate community pride and strengthen connections across the town.
We would like to thank the Chippenham Carnival Committee and the many volunteers, sponsors, performers, businesses and community groups who have worked tirelessly over recent months to bring the carnival back to Chippenham.
Events of this scale rely on the dedication and enthusiasm of volunteers, and their efforts are helping to create something special for the whole community.
