Every May Bank Holiday, Chippenham Folk Festival brings live music, dancing and community activities to venues right across the town. Organised by a large team of amazing volunteers, the festival features over 600 performers, 13 stages and a huge number of events, making it one of Wiltshire’s biggest weekends of the year.
2026 marks the second year of our three-year funding commitment to the festival, providing £6000 annually to help fund the FREE Family & Community Programme in Island Park. We are also pleased to provide the use of our land at Westmead for festival camping throughout the weekend.

Free events for all ages
The Family & Community Programme creates a welcoming festival space at the heart of Chippenham, with free activities and performances running throughout the weekend.
Visitors can enjoy:

The programme also showcases local talent and community groups alongside nationally recognised folk performers, with appearances from groups including Chippenham Male Voice Choir, Cause Community Choir, Chippenham & Calne Good Afternoon Choir, Chippenham and Swindon Show Choirs and Wiltshire Young Musicians.

Festival camping
We are also pleased to, once again, provide the use of our land at Westmead Playing Field as one of the two Folk Festival campsites for the long weekend, helping accommodate visitors, performers and volunteers travelling to Chippenham.
With warm sunshine forecast for the Bank Holiday weekend, this year’s festival looks set to be one of the most vibrant in recent years.
