Awarded at the end of the 2024–25 financial year, this grant supports the upcoming delivery of The Digital Empowerment Programme in three secondary schools in Chippenham.
Led by The Stay Safe Initiative CIC, the project equips young people with the skills and knowledge to navigate digital spaces safely and responsibly. The programme focuses on key issues such as cyberbullying, social media pressures, and digital wellbeing, delivered through interactive workshops, assemblies, and tailored resources for students in Years 7 and 9.
Parents and carers are also engaged through the programme, helping to create a shared understanding of online safety at home and school. Alongside digital education, the initiative promotes a healthy balance between screen time and offline activities, encouraging participation in sport, outdoor time, and the arts.
The programme builds on an established model, with a strong local focus and resources designed for continued use. It aims to strengthen digital confidence, support mental health, and foster greater cohesion between young people, families, and school communities.
Thank you for your help and support…you have enabled us to support hundreds of young people along with some families in this very important area of their life.
