We are excited to announce the launch of our new online application system for our two major grant funding streams: Grants for Individuals and Grants for Organisations. These two discrete grant programmes now replace all our previous grant funding models. This streamlined process will make it easier for individuals, groups, and organisations across Chippenham to access our vital support.
Online Eligibility Check
We have added a new online eligibility check form on our website, which enables users to check eligibility for both our Grants for Individuals and Grants for Organisations programmes. If eligible, you can then proceed to complete a full application for grant funding through a secure platform. You can save and return to your online form to complete your application within 30 days.
Grants for Organisations
Our Organisations Grant Programme nurtures the voluntary groups and community organisations that are vital to Chippenham’s vibrancy. To be eligible, groups must be based in or delivering services within Chippenham. The new online system allows you to easily apply for grants up to £10,000 covering core operational, capital, project, or event costs – whether for a single year, multi-year, or one-off initiative.
Your purposes must align with one or more of CBLC’s grant-giving objectives, including:
– Increasing community participation and cohesion
– Improving health and reducing inequalities
– Supporting education and employment
– Providing safe homes and reducing poverty
– Enabling greater physical activity, arts/culture access, and time in nature
We now operate on a grant round system with three application deadlines per year. The first-round deadline for the current financial year is Saturday, June 1st, for a grant meeting in July and funding decisions awarded by August 1st.

Grants for Individuals
Our Grants for Individuals programme offers tailored financial assistance and provision of goods/services to support low-income Chippenham residents facing challenging circumstances. This individualised support helps overcome essential needs like food vouchers, white goods, furniture, and education costs based on assessed financial hardship.
To be eligible, individuals must have resided in the Parish of Chippenham for at least six months. Applications can be submitted online at any time during the year.
