A Big Thank You to Schneider Electrics

On Friday 11th July, our land at Westmead Open Space was buzzing with energy, teamwork, and environmental action, thanks to the brilliant volunteers from Schneider Electric.

The company, based in Langley Park, has long been a champion of environmental responsibility, having been recently named Corporate Knights’ Most Sustainable Company of 2025.

As part of Schneider Electric’s Sustainability Impact Programme, staff volunteer their time and energy to support local community projects. This week marked their first time supporting one of our sites and we couldn’t be more grateful.

The team took on the task of revitalising our much-loved sculpture trail, including laying down fresh bark mulch to help improve access, protect the soil structure, reduce weed growth and enhance the overall appearance of the path.

Working through the heatwave with buckets of enthusiasm (and a bit of welcome shade in the trees), they managed to complete around 80% of the trail in one day – and the difference is immediately visible.

It’s always fantastic to see such strong support for our green spaces, including from local businesses. Schneider Electric are planning to plant a tree for every project they complete in future – a lovely idea that we are happy to support on our land.

Thank you for choosing to spend the day with us – we’re so pleased and grateful for your time, hard work and incredible efforts, particularly given the warm weather. We hope it’s the first of many more visits!

Interested in volunteering with your team? We’re always keen to welcome new corporate groups who want to make a difference in their local community. Whether it’s a one-off activity or a longer commitment, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch with Faye, our Land & Property Manager, to find out more:
