We’re looking for a Grants Manager to help us ensure that our charity’s funds reach the right people to make a positive impact on the lives of Chippenham residents.

The purpose of the Grants Manager role is to:

* Ensure that all grant applications are correctly administered.

* Encourage, support, meet and give advice to applicants. This includes individuals applying for welfare support, as well as organisations looking for funding for projects, equipment etc.

* Promote CBLC to individuals, organisations, statutory bodies and other agencies.

* Work with colleagues to deliver the strategic objectives of the charity.

* Promote the grants programme and encourage applications.

* Build strong and effective relationships with key partners and organisations to deliver a joined-up approach to dealing with community issues in Chippenham.

* Explore ways to continually improve the service the charity provides to the community.

This is a busy role, with the current cost of living crisis adding to individuals’ need for support. You will need to be resilient and a self-starter, with the ability to manage your own caseload and prioritise your work effectively.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Knowledge, Training and Qualifications

Essential

* Excellent numeracy skills shown by a good pass at GCSE (or equivalent)

* Excellent English language skills shown by a good pass at GCSE (or equivalent)

* Recent and detailed working knowledge of grants management.

Desirable

* NVQ in Information, Advice and Guidance at Level 4 or above, or substantial professional experience in providing advice/guidance.

* Excellent MS Office skills, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel

* Previous experience of working within a charity

* Outstanding communication skills

* A good general background in general advice

* Good team player with flexible approach

* Ability to write and present reports concisely

* Ability to build strong and effective working relationships with external partners and organisations

* Ability to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines

* Fully committed to training

* Ability to identify own training needs

* Ability to present information clearly in a variety of forms (reports, PowerPoint, delivering presentations verbally)

Based on the demand, work volume and team structure, we have identified that we require a full-time Grants Manager working Monday to Friday.

We offer above the statutory minimum holidays from day one (starting at 31 days including bank holidays and 3 directed days between Christmas and New Year, rising with service to a maximum of 36 days pro-rata).
