We are concentrating our support to help with basic welfare provisions and emergency requests/applications relating to Covid-19 only (for example food, transport and electricity/gas).
We are only able to help local individuals and groups/organisations that support the Chippenham community. If you are a local organisation or group who thinks we can help you to support the Chippenham community during this difficult time, please get in touch via admin@cblc.org.uk. Any applications for non-emergency awards will be put on hold for at least the next 2 months (until 25th May) when this will be reviewed.
We have already provided some financial support to the Chippenham Salvation Army foodbank, who are experiencing unprecedented requests. We will continue to help them to provide this essential service. We have also started working with Age UK too.
We’ve started to develop a new website for the Chippenham community called “ONE Chippenham”. In the short term, the website will contain all local information relating to COVID-19 that we are aware of. In the long term this will be a one-stop place to find out community information and ‘what’s on’ in Chippenham.**
ONE Chippenham will show information provided to us by local individuals, groups and organisations about the arts, culture, welfare and wellbeing for all ages. This was always in our planning for 2020 but our initial ideas are being accelerated due to the current circumstances. If you have any information that you would like us to include on ONE Chippenham please get in touch by emailing katie@cblc.org.uk.
Our team of staff and trustees remain committed to help support the Chippenham Community.
**Update 9.4.20 – our new website is now LIVE – find it at https://onechippenham.org.uk
