Our individual grant programme is aimed at helping low-income residents of Chippenham who are facing challenging circumstances.
What we can help with
We give grants for things like:
- Food Vouchers
- White goods (fridges, washing machines, etc.)
- Furniture
- Mobility aids
- Bankruptcy Fees
- Emergency supplies
- Funeral costs
- Education resources
- Course fees and travel
What we can't help with
- Costs you have already paid for
- Carpets or flooring
- Housing association property upgrades
- Dental work
You can apply for yourself, or an agency can apply for you. We accept applications anytime. Our staff can help you apply if it’s difficult.
WHO CAN APPLY
To see if you can apply for help from us, you need to meet certain requirements. You must:
- Live in the Parish of Chippenham and have lived there for more than 6 months
- Get benefits based on how much money you have or have a low income
The benefits that allow you to apply are:
- Universal Credit
- Income Support
- Income-based Employment and Support Allowance
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Guarantee Pension Credit
- Tax credits (if your yearly income is below £15,276)
For low income, this means:
- For one person: Making less than £16,000 per year
- For a couple or family: Making up to £30,000 per year with savings of less than £5,000
If you meet these eligibility requirements about where you live and your income, then you may be able to get help from our individual grant programme.
How to apply
You can apply for the grant yourself, or someone else can apply for you. We take applications any time. If you need help applying, just ask us!
- Fill out the online eligibility form first. It will let you know if you qualify.
- If you do qualify, you can fill out the application form.
- Answer all the questions on the application form. If you need to take a break, you can save it and finish later.
