We recently commissioned the volunteers at Chippenham Shed to create a handmade bench for visitors to our land at Westmead Open Space. We provided the materials and funding, while the skilled members of Chippenham Shed generously donated their time and talents to design and construct the bench from scratch. Not deterred by the weather, Chippenham Shed members installed the new bench earlier today.
Chippenham Shed is a local community group that provides a welcoming space for adults to connect, converse, share experiences, make new friends, learn new skills, and find fun in life. They meet every Tuesday at 2:30 pm in the Clubhouse at North Wilts Bowls Club in Westcroft, Chippenham. The Shed is also open Monday to Thursday from 9 am until 12:30 pm for members to use the woodworking equipment or just drop in for a friendly chat.
